Alison-Madueke Reportedly Spotted At London Police Station

Former Petroleum Resources Minister, Mrs. Diezeani Alison-Madueke on Thursday, January 22, 2015 appeared at the Charing Cross Police Station in London in what appears to be part of the investigation into allegations of money laundering being investigated.

According to Television Continental (TVC), Alison Madueke left the station and was given a June 21 reappearance date. TVC is an-All Progressives Congress leaning media outlet.

Last October, the former petroleum minister was said to be arrested by the UK National Crimes Agency, alongside four others. She denied being arrested and said she was only invited for questioning.

The Buhari government said that it is “actively” working with the London authorities in the case of Alison Madueke. A claim which as not been corroborated by the UK authorities who have seen said that they have no intention of charging the former petroleum minister.

Nigerians were shocked when images of the Alison Madueke in a cancer stricken state hit the media late 2015. She has denied any wrongdoing during her time as one of Nigeria’s most powerful minister.
