LAGOS, Nigeria — Millions of people across the world were reached with the gospel on Sunday, May 31, 2026, as Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, held its World Evangelism Day, a global soul-winning outreach declared by Dr Daniel K. Olukoya, the General Overseer of the ministry.
The exercise brought together members of MFM across its more than 120,000 branches worldwide, as worshippers moved into streets, markets, neighbourhoods, transport hubs and communities to preach, distribute gospel materials, pray with residents and provide humanitarian support.
The initiative formed part of the ministry’s worldwide evangelism mandate and its broader mission to saturate the world with the gospel through preaching, prayer and practical acts of compassion.
In Lagos, MFM Lagos Region 1 took the outreach to parts of Lekki, where church members distributed more than 500 packs of rice to vulnerable residents while sharing gospel tracts and praying with individuals and families.
The Lekki outreach covered Lekki Roundabout, Jakande and other major streets and neighbourhoods within the Lekki axis.
A Worldwide Evangelism Mandate
Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries has in recent years expanded its evangelism activities through coordinated gospel campaigns, humanitarian interventions, food distribution programmes, prison visits, hospital evangelism and community-based outreaches.
The church’s evangelism drive is also being promoted through programmes such as the Explosive Evangelism Initiative, a strategic soul-winning campaign designed to mobilise members for sustained evangelism in cities, rural communities and public spaces.
Church leaders said the World Evangelism Day reflected Olukoya’s directive that MFM branches worldwide should intensify soul-winning in obedience to Christ’s mandate.

Speaking during the Lekki outreach, Pastor Moses Adebowale, Senior Regional Overseer of the Lekki Mega Region, said the church was committed to taking the gospel beyond the four walls of the church.
“We stepped out in faith to share the love, hope and salvation found in Christ with people on the streets and within our communities,” Adebowale said.
Adebowale said Olukoya and his wife, Pastor Folashade Olukoya, had directed MFM branches globally to renew their commitment to evangelism.
“The gospel is about transforming lives spiritually and touching lives physically. Evangelism is our divine assignment. We are here to share God’s love through His Word and through acts of compassion,” he said.

Lekki Outreach Combines Preaching and Food Support
Pastor Olufemi Odelabi, Assembly Pastor of MFM Lagos Region 1, Igbo Efon, Lekki, said members from across the region participated in the outreach under the leadership of Adebowale and his wife.
“Led by our Senior Regional Overseer, Pastor Moses Adebowale, and his wife, brethren from across the region came together in unity to share the good news of Jesus Christ, pray for people and extend the love of God to everyone we encountered,” Odelabi said.
He said the outreach demonstrated that evangelism was not merely a church programme but a continuing spiritual responsibility.
“It was a powerful reminder that evangelism is not just an event; it is our divine assignment. Every tract shared, every prayer offered and every word of encouragement carried the message that Jesus still saves, heals and transforms lives,” Odelabi said.
“We thank God for a successful outreach and pray that every seed sown will yield an abundant harvest.”
Specialised Units Support Outreach
Evangelist Patience Udeme, the Lekki District Evangelism Leader, said MFM’s Evangelism Department operates through specialised units designed to reach different segments of society with the gospel and humanitarian support.
She said the units include hospital evangelism, prison and correctional centre outreach, market evangelism, rural missions, motor park evangelism, school outreach, house-to-house witnessing, visitation programmes and mass crusades.
Udeme added that the ministry also conducts “Church-in-the-Street” activities and trade fair evangelism programmes.
“The church believes that different communities require different approaches. As a result, evangelists are deployed to markets, hospitals, transport terminals and underserved communities where they engage people through personal interactions, prayer sessions and the distribution of gospel literature,” she said.
She said World Evangelism Day remains one of the major components of MFM’s outreach strategy, with members across the world participating in coordinated evangelism exercises and large-scale tract distribution campaigns.
According to her, the church views evangelism as a tool for addressing social challenges, including crime, hopelessness and social instability, while fostering spiritual and positive community transformation.
She said the initiative reflects MFM’s broader vision of “saturating the world with the gospel” while balancing spiritual ministry with meaningful social impact.
