Angry Mob Burn 7 Suspected Ritualists To Death In Benue

Seven persons suspected to be ritualists were burnt to death by an angry mob for allegedly killing an 11-year-old child at Naka, Gwer West Local Government Area of  Benue state.

The incident happened at about 1.00pm were on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.

An eyewitness, Toryila Adamgbe, disclosed on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 that the ritualists killed the child in a failed bid to kill the victim’s uncle.

Luck ran out of them when a group of angry mob descended on them and lynched them to death after much torture.

The suspects were said to have been set ablaze in three locations within Naka, headquarters of Gwer West Local Government.

Two of the suspected murderers were said to have escaped lynching and are still at large.

Another anonymous source resident in the area disclosed that the group have posed a serious threat to the community.

There was no official confirmation of the incident by the Benue state police spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent John Bako,
