‘Ayu and PDP NWC Entertaining Nigerians with Comedy Skit’ – Fayose Scoffs At His Suspension

Must read

ADO EKITI, NIGERIA – Ayo Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, has dismissed his suspension from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) by the Senator Iyorchia Ayu-led National Working Committee as “the last kick of a dead horse.”

Fayose responded to the suspension on Thursday, March 23, 2023, through his spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, calling the suspension a “comedy skit.”

In the statement which was delivered to The Trent by e-mail, Fayose expressed his belief that Ayu’s tenure as PDP national chairman will soon become history, allowing the party to experience a new lease of life.

The former governor declared that he, along with others who supported the party when Ayu and his colleagues abandoned it, would rescue the PDP and breathe new life into it.

He maintained that “the purported suspension” has no basis and will not stand.
