Gunmen suspected to be bandits in the early hours of Monday, August 23, 2021, attacked Gora Namaye community of Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing four persons and kidnapping over 300 villagers.
According to an eyewitness who puts his name as Suleiman Gora, the bandits stormed the community in large number with many vehicles, shooting sporadically.
The source said they were going house to house, killing the ones they wanted and abducting others, pointing out that there were no security interventions until the bandits were done with their nefarious activities.
