Bauchi Governor, Yuguda Sacks All His Political Aides With Immediate Effect

The governor of Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda has relieved all his special advisers of their appointments possibly following the claims that some of them were looting government properties.

The disengagement however, excluded few officers in charge of essential services.

It was learnt via a statement signed by Hashimu Yakubu, permanent secretary, Political Affairs on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 that the sacking of all special advisers, senior special assistants and personal assistants was with immediate effect.

The statement said, “The executive governor of Bauchi State, Mallam Isa Yuguda, has approved the disengagement of all special advisers (with the exception of the special adviser, Due Process).

“Also, all senior special assistants, special assistants and personal assistants (with the exception of those who work directly under His Excellency, the executive governor or the deputy governor).”

The affected officers were directed to return all government properties in their possession to heads of organisations where they served.

According to Daily Post, the governor thanked the political aides who have been disengaged for their contributions to the development of Bauchi State in their various capacities and wished them the best in their future endeavours.
