Information gathered has it that the former head of state is billed to arrive at the Yakubu Gowon airport in Jos at about 1pm where he will be received by the Plateau state governor Jonah Jang before proceeding to the yet to be verified hospital where his son is receiving treatment.

The junior Obasanjo was initially taken to the the Federal Medical Centre, Jimeta, Yola, the Adamawa state capital before he was flown to Jos for further treatment although it is still unclear whether he was taken to 3 Div Medical Centre, Rukuba Barracks or NAF Hospital, Jos.

Contrary to some media claims that he has fully recovered and was ready to return to the battle ground, the visit shows he still has some treatment to undergo, just as Lt. Col. Obasanjo clears the air as to the circumstances leading to his condition, as he affirmed that it was a frontal attack as against reports of an ambush which was widely circulated in the media.
