Boy,19, Chases Mother, Siblings Away Before Stabbing Father To Death

A 19-year-old boy, Joshua Uzochukwu Ezirim, has been arrested by police officials at the Fegge Divisional Police, Onitsha, Anambra State for allegedly using a kitchen knife to stab his father, Mr. Sampson Ezirim to death.

According to a source, the suspect chased his mother and siblings from their residence and locked the doors before he stabbed his dad more than 30 times.

The deceased who sold books at the Onitsha main market was an indigene of Imo State.

The source further disclosed that the last son of the deceased carried out the attack on Saturday, May 9, 2015.

The attention of the police was drawn to the incident by the suspect’s brother identified as Chimdike Ezirim.

It was also learnt that the suspect had been threatening the entire family long before the incident finally unfolded.

According to Vanguard, the source added that DPO of Fegge Police Station, Mr. Rabiu Garba, deposited the corpse at St. Charles Boromeo Hospital, Onitsha, mortuary, while the DCO, James Etum, arrested the suspect as he was said to have locked himself and his father’s corpse in, before policemen used teargas to smoke him out.
