President Jonathan Sacks Minister Of Sports, Swears In New Ministers

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 sacked the Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi.

His sack is with immediate effect, Dr Tamuno Danagogo is to take over as the new Minister of Sports.

New ministers took their oaths of offices today at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

President Jonathan has assigned portfolio’s to the newly sworn in ministers.

Senator  Musiliu Obanikoro  is the new Minister of State Defence while Ambassador Aminu Wali is the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Mohammed Wakil  has been named Minister of State Power and Alhaji Abduljelili Adesiyan is the Minister of Police Affairs.

Other ministers include: Ambassador Aminu Wali, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mrs. Akon Eyakenyi, Minister of Land and Housing;  Lawrencia Laraba Mallam , Minister of Environment; Hajia Asabe  Asmau Ahmed, Minister of State Agriculture,  Gen. Aliyu Gusau, Minister of Defence; Boni Haruna, Minister of Youth Development and Dr. Khaliru Alhassan, Minister of State Health.

President Jonathan said more ministers will be named next week.

  1. People are complaining about power failure, killings and fuel scarcity this leader is busy sacking sports minister. Wetin dey do Jonathan sef?

  2. Just a note: I hope our judges n lawyers are watching n following the Osca case no adjournment stright 4 days, sure we are learning
