Chief Judge Sets Up 7-Man Committee To Investigate Governor Nyako, Deputy

The Acting Chief Judge  of Adamawa State , Justice Ambrose Mammadi, has set up  a seven- man committee to investigate the state governor, Murtala Nyako, and his deputy, Bala Ka,es Ngilari.

Both executives are facing impeachment due to alleged gross misconduct and misappropriation leveled against them by the State House of Assembly, the committee is aimed at investigating the authenticity of the allegations.

The judge said  his action was based on the power conferred on him by the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended to set a seven man committee to investigate the allegations of misconduct  by the Adamawa State House of Assembly against the governor and his deputy.

The chief registrar of the Yola High Court, Abubakar Babayola announced the names of the committee members on behalf of Nammadi.

Buba Kaigama (chairman of the committee, Mrs Laraba Hassan ,Saadu Lawan, Gapsiso Eston,  Joshua Abu,  Njida Kito and   Eston  Binano are the seven that make up the committee.

The committee is set to be inaugurated on Monday, July 7, 2014 and will begin work immediately.
