Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Assembles Legal Team Over Wife’s Divorce, Adultery Allegation

Must read

Founder of Believer Love World Ministry a.k.a Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has put together a legal team to argue his case in the divorce case instituted against him by his wife, Anita, according to a report by The Cable.

Anita had earlier in April filed for divorce over “unreasonable behaviour” and “adultery” at Central Family Court, High Holborn, London, UK,charges which the pastor has denounced vehemently denies, hence his decision to assemble a team of reputable family lawyers to launch his defense.

Expectedly, the lawyers are likely to come from the UK since his wife also engaged a British law firm Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, although their names could not be ascertained by The Cable.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s stance is not known, it is either he plans to stall the divorce or stop his wife from getting a hefty alimony from him.

“The pastor is sending mixed messages all the time. We honestly don’t know his mind yet,” a pastor with the church told TheCable in Lagos, citing instances of Oyakhilome getting angry over his wife’s action and other instances when he appeared conciliatory, seeking that she should retrace her steps and return to her matrimonial home.

According to reports, Oyakhilome got information pertaining to his wife’s divorce plans since February and had tried to stall it, but she continued to push until the case was filed in April.

Reports say Oyakhilome avoided being served the divorce papers until he was tricked into accepting when his wife’s lawyers who visited him at his London hotel incognito.
