Ebonyi House Majority Leader Kidnapped 4 Days After Speaker’s Impeachment

The majority leader of the Ebonyi state House of Assembly, Sam Nwali has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

Nwali, who represents Ikwo North constituency was abducted by four men in the early hours of Thursday, July 24, 2014 from his residence at Watchman street in Abakaliki, the state capital.

His abduction comes barely four days after the members of the house impeached the speaker, Chukwuma Nwazunku.

A member of the house representing Ohaozara West, Jerry Obasi, has confirmed the incident.

The abductors are yet to contact his family or make any demands.
