A group of unknown gunmen on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 assassinated the driver of a slain aide to Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State, along the Aramoko and Igede road in Ekiti State.
This is coming few months after the aide, Aderiye Omolafe, was shot dead by unknown gunmen at his office in Ijigbo in September 2015.
The men who reportedly covered their faces with masks killed Omolafe’s driver in the morning of the fateful day while he was travelling.
The lifeless remains of the driver was discovered inside the car where he was dumped by the killers.
No official statement has been issued by the police in the state as at the time of filing this report.
