A man who broke into the home of music hit maker, Miley Cyrus‘ on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 and made away with valuable items that belonged to her and her brother, has been sentenced to 2 years imprisonment.

22-year-old Rusty Edward Sellner, appeared in court after pleading no contest to first-degree residential burglary on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.

According to Mirror UK, superior Court Judge Alan Schneider reportedly gave Sellner credit for the 270 days that he has already served, but a new hearing will be held later to see how long he will have to stay behind bars.

That was not the first time the pop star was attacked by thieves as she was also burgled on Friday, May 30, 2014 when thieves sped off in her Maseratie Quattroporte along with a stash of her jewelry.

According to the District Attorney, Sellner has two prior convictions in Ventura County for burglarly as well as evading arrest and would have faced a maximum sentence of up to seven years if he was found guilty of all the charges.
