Brazil started off the game brightly but were denied a goal as a result of the good form of Nigeria’s goalkeeper, Akpan Udoh and their wayward shots.

The first goal of the game came in the 29th minute through the tournament’s leading goalscorer, Victor Osimhen. Osimhen had headed in a cross from the right by John Lazarus which was well deflected into goal by Brazilian, Eder Militao.

The Nigerians wouldn’t wait for long for their third goal as it came about four minutes later. Anumudu fired in a low but fierce shot from outside the box into the bottom left of the Brazilian net.
