Fifteen Russian miners are believed to be underground after a blast at a coalmine in Siberia.

Citing an emergency official, the Interfax news agency said 90 of the 105 miners who had been in the mine in the city of Prokopyevsk in the Kemerovo region at the time of the blast had been evacuated.
