Assimi Kouanda, the party leader of the dismissed Burkina Faso president, Blaise Compaore had on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 been arraigned by operatives of the military police.
This was revealed to journalists through security sources, according to reports.
According to a a police officer, they arraigned the politician, Assimi Kouanda “after making statements that can disrupt public order and had called for demonstrations.”
Another security source also confirmed that Kouanda was subsequently arrested after he had made the suspicious statement.
