There was an uproar at Adebisi Ogunniyi Crescent, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State as a young man was spotted atop an electric pole in the morning of Thursday, May 5, 2016 in his attempt to commit suicide because he had no food nor money.
A group of concerned persons gathered around the scene and pleaded with the young man to come down from the pole and some called the attention of the police from the Maroko Division.
The Trent gathered that when the police officials arrived the scene, they encouraged the man to desist from committing suicide and come down from the pole.
However, the young man who has not been identified reportedly promised to come down from if only he gets N5 million.
The police officials were said to have left the scene after their much persuasion fell on deaf ears.
Meantime, the suicidal man is still atop the pole as at the time of filing this report as nobody has offered him the expected N5 million.
