The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has announced the composition of a high powered committee of Igbo leaders to meet the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu over his death threat to Igbos in the state.
Recall that Oba Akiolu threatened the Igbos in Lagos with death if they failed to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode in Saturday’s governorship election.
A statement released on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo, named the Chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri as the leader of the team.
The governor directed that the Ohiri-led committee should leave for Lagos immediately to meet with the royal father.
