A bride died just days after marrying the love of her life after a devastating cancer misdiagnosis.

Ashleigh Simrajh, 23, married her partner Jason Hale on September 5 in front of 50 close friend and family at Sea World on the Gold Coast, Australia.

But just days after they said their ‘I dos’ Jason said his “beautiful” wife had sadly died from malignant melanoma.

Taking to Facebook to pay a heartbreaking tribute to Ashleigh, Jason wrote: ““Words cannot describe the pain I’m feeling right now, I’m absolutely devastated and my heart is completely shattered,” he wrote on Facebook Tuesday morning.

“You were so brave and strong and I know that you tried your absolute best fighting this battle, you couldn’t have tried any harder than you did.

“I’m so proud of you babe.”

Ashleigh Simrajh, 23, and Jason Hale said their ‘I dos’ on September 5 – just days before Ashleigh sadly died.

The devastated new husband said he and Ashleigh had plans to one day have children, adding: “We had so much planned out! We pictured having kids, cute kids too! (Only because of your gorgeous looks, not mine haha), travelling the world and most importantly growing old together,” he said.

“I think growing old with you was something I wanted to do the most. Not much else mattered to me than to just be there with you for my whole life.”

Jason said he had been left feeling “completely empty inside” and said his life “doesn’t feel real”, reports news.com.au.

Ashleigh was originally told her cancer was simply a wart

Ashleigh’s story began when she noticed a bump on her leg in 2018, before doctors told her it was a harmless wart.

But a year later when Ashleigh knocked the bump and it began badly bleeding, she sought a second opinion and was given the devastating news she had melanoma.

Tragically, by the time she was diagnosed, the cancer had spread around Ashleigh’s body and was terminal.

Just last month, Ashleigh was told she had just a few weeks to live – so decided to head to SeaWorld to marry the love of her life.

Ashleigh’s story began when she noticed a bump on her leg in 2018.

Her hit out at doctors who claimed they did not do a biopsy and told her it was a ‘wart’.

“She now has lung cancer, liver cancer, cancer in her chest and only days to live,” he told the MailOnline.

“Let down is not how I would describe it. I would describe it as we have been betrayed as she trusted the medical professionals.

“She believed them and continued her life as if nothing was wrong.”

The family’s Go Fund Me page raised money to make the closing stages of her life as enjoyable as possible.

“Ashleigh does not want to go back into hospital and we as a family are going to make sure that she remains at home surrounded by the people who love her,” her dad wrote.
