The Bible says that the inheritance of the children of Simeon was included in the share of the children of Judah because the share of the children of Judah was too much for them! Pause, and think about that for a moment.
What do we do today, we grab and keep grabbing; we accumulate much more than we will ever need; we are not just content; some of us have enough, but we are not satisfied, we want so much more. Do we even share what we have with others? No, instead we covet what others have. Some have clothes, shoes, bags and others things they’ve not used in a long time, but it’s just there, covered with dust. And we’re unhappy, we quarrel with God, our spouses and our parents, because we want more!
This thing called love is very practical, you know. We can’t keep claiming that we love people when we really don’t. We see people with so little every day and it has never occurred to us to try and assist them in any little way, instead we keep bombarding God with requests for more, and more, and more! What you make happen for others is what God will make happen for you! Paul talked about equality in 2 Corinthians 8:13-15: “As it is written, ‘He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.'”
We’ve got to overcome greed and selfishness, let’s be channels through which the love of God flows to mankind. God bless you as you do.
