2 Female Suicide Bombers Hit GSM Market In Potiskum

Many persons have been reported dead following a twin bomb explosion at the popular Global System Communication (GSM) market in Potiskum, Yobe State on Sunday, January 11, 2014.

The Potiskum GSM market which is located close to Brema Primary School along the Mohammed Idrissa Way is said to be a highly commercial city.

According to eyewitnesses, two female suicide bombers who came to the market on tricycle are said to be responsible for the explosion.

“I can confirm to you that the situation at the moment is tense up after the twin blast went off around 3:15 this afternoon and rescue operation is still going on and no one can tell you the casualty figure now.

“It’s so sad that we keep hearing this on daily basis.”
