The Emir of Borgu in Niger State, Alhaji Haliru Dantoro Kitoro III has died at 77, Leadership reports.
Leadership had initially reported on Friday, October 30, 2015 that the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammad Bashir Iliyasu of Kebbi State has dead.
The story has since been put down by Leadership which suggests that Emir Iliyasu is not dead after all.
Alhaji Haliru Dantoro Kitoro III died on Friday, October 30, 2015 in a German hospital after a brief illness.
Kitoro who was the third in hierarchy in the Niger state Council of Traditional Rulers was a former Senator in 1992 on the platform of National Republican Convention (NRC).
He became the Kitoro 111 of Borgu Kingdom on February 3, 2000, after the demise of Alhaji Musa Mohammadu.
