‘We’ll defeat this enemy’: Zamfara Governor Announces First 2 Cases Of COVID-19

Bello Matawalle, the Zamfara State governor, has confirmed two cases of coronavirus in the state.

Recall that the NCDC while confirming new cases in the country noted that Zamafara State recorded two cases.

Matawalle in a series of tweets on his Twitter page on Sunday, April 26, 2020, expressed readiness to fight the disease.

He said, “I regret to announce the occurrence of 2 cases of #COVID-19 in our state. On this note, I’d like to strongly advise our people to adhere to all safety guidelines.

“I’ll Inshaa Allah communicate further measures our Government will take against the spread of the disease.

“Since December 2019, humanity has been challenged by an invisible enemy. An enemy that infiltrates our state on the 1st day of our holiest month.

“My Gov’t is committed to this fight & I believe our diligent citizens will observe safety rules & pray harder to defeat this enemy.”
