A 35-year-old Nigerian woman, was in the early hours of Friday, February 20, 2015 gang-raped in a moving car after she was kidnapped in front of a shopping mall in Saket, New Delhi, the capital of India.
The unnamed woman was said to be in India on a tourist visa was bundled into a car, revealed that she was driven round the city whilst being raped by four men, before she was thrown out of the moving vehicle in Mayur Vihar, around 20 kilometres away in east Delhi.
Delhi police spokesman Rajan Bhagat told AFP that four Indian men have been apprehended in connection with the incident, with the car they used said to have been impounded.
We have received a complaint from the woman and investigations are ongoing,” Delhi police spokesman Rajan Bhagat told AFP.

The victim was later found by a passerby and rushed to the hospital where she was treated for injuries.
Officials from the Nigerian embassy are yet to respond to the issue.
India has a high occurrence of rape with police figures stating that 2,069 rape cases were registered in New Delhi during 2014, a 31% more than the 2013 figures.
