One man who has pushed the envelope when it comes to their personal life is former Two and a Half Men star Sheen. The man who made his name from acting in movies such as Platoon, Hot Shots, and Wall Street experienced a car crash lifestyle in full view of the public gaze. His drug use, sexual relationships, and alcoholism all played a role in his life spiralling out of control but his addiction to gambling has also been noted a major contributing factor to Sheen going off the rails.

A Hollywood A-lister who takes his gambling very seriously is Oscar-winning director and actor Affleck. The man who is currently earning his money by playing Batman was mentored by poker professionals Annie Duke and Amir Vahedi in the early 2000s to sharpen up his card game. He went on to win the 2004 California State Poker Championship which saw him win £356,400. In 2014, Affleck was banned from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on suspicion of card-counting.

Ray Romano

The Everybody Loves Raymond star is held affectionately in the eyes of many but underneath the warm-hearted exterior is a man whose lust for gambling has sometimes pushed him too far. Romano has claimed that he gained inspiration for his role as Joe Tranelli in Men of a Certain Age through his first-hand experience of gambling. Fortunately, that dark chapter appears to be in the past and Romano can now be seen regularly at the poker tables across US casinos.

Mayweather frequently brags about his big money bets when it comes to major sporting events. In 2014, it was alleged that the undefeated boxer bet $13 million on Denver Broncos to win the Super Bowl. Just one year later he staked $350,000 on a basketball and boxing 4-fold to win $827,272. Only a matter of weeks later he won $271,000 betting on the Golden State Warriors in basketball. Not a bad track record.
