Boko Haram: Buhari To Host Cameroon, Chad, Niger, Benin Presidents Todayccc

As Boko Haram insurgents continue their reign of terror in the North Eastern part of the country, President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday, June 11, 2015 host leaders of neigbouring countries – Chad, Cameroun, Benin and Nigeria – in a bid to map out strategies to stop the marauding extremists.

Making this known after a meeting with President Buhari on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 was Ismali Aliyu, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence who availed that the meeting was held so as to perfect Nigeria’s position ahead of the meeting.

Aliyu further availed that defence chiefs and Ministers of Defence of the aforementioned countries had earlier met, agreeing on the necessity of Thursday’s meeting.

He said: “The meeting held between the Chiefs of Defence Staff of the Lake Chad Basin and Ministers of Defence culminated in the presidents’ meeting tomorrow (today).”https://www.thetrentonline.com/wp-admin/post-new.php
