Kaduna police command has arrested one Dan’asabe Eddo for raping an 80-year-old woman in Kubasha village in Kagarko local government area of the state.
The police acted on a complaint lodged at Garaku Division on January 14, 2022 at about 10:30pm that Eddo, who is resident of Kundami, a neighboring village, invaded the residence of his victim who resides alone and raped her.
This was disclosed in a press statement by the Spokesperson of the command, ASP Ramhan Nansel, Anipr. He revealed that upon interrogation, the suspect admitted to the commission of the offence and blamed it on handiwork of the devil.
The states Commissioner of Police, CP Adesina Soyemi has directed that the case be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Lafia for profound Investigation. He urged members of the public to pay special attention to the elderly and guard them against gerontophiles.
