Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo has repaid the faith Watford has shown in him.
Fresh from penning a new five-year deal, the Nigerian scored the only goal in his club’s victory over Swansea on Saturday. Ighalo’s goal came just before the hour mark after the 26-year-old received a long ball from Troy Deeney.
Barely five minutes later, the hosts went one man down after Valon Behrami was sent out for awkwardly stepping on Andre Ayew’s leg.
10-man Watford managed to hold on till the very end for what will now be remembered as their first victory since gaining promotion to the Premier League.
