18-year old Kayode Amimi, a suspected robbery gang leader has been apprehended by men of the Ondo state police force in the state capital Akure, Vanguard reports.
His arrest came a month after a raid by his five-man gang on one Iyiola Olufemi, who lives at 3, Kolaeole Street in Akure in which they made away with goods worth over N240,000, laptops recharge cards and N20,000 cash.
Following his arrest at his residence at number 2, Eleye Street, Akure, about thirty two phones, two laptops and three iPads were recovered.
Ondo state police spokesman Wole Ogodo confirmed the incident, adding that the suspect had already confessed to the crime.
